All new patients visits are scheduled for a minimum of one hour, depending on Dr. Shah's schedule. He wants to be sure that you come away from a visit with him with a thorough understanding of your surgical and non-surgical options.

Our staff will be pleased to assist you in any way possible and all efforts will be made to accommodate your schedule.

Office Hours

Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dr. Shah is also on-call after hours for his patients benefit. You should feel free to call the office at (303) 708-8234 at any time if you have a question or concern. All after hours calls are routed to our answering service who in turn will get in contact with Dr. Shah for you.

Cosmetic Surgery Insurance

As a courtesy to our aesthetic surgery patients, Dr. Shah provides cosmetic surgery insurance that covers most of the costs of hospitalization, should a post-operative complication necessitating in-hospital treatment arise. Because cosmetic surgery is elective surgery, most insurance companies will not cover the costs associated with treating complications. This product is available through CosmetAssure and is only available to patients of the members and candidate members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Cancellations

If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours advanced notice. This courtesy on your part will make it possible to give your appointment to another patient.

Billing & Payment

Co-payments are due at the time of visit. Same day BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane®, JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel, Radiesse® or Sculptra™ requires payment by credit card, cashier's check, or money order prior to the procedure. We also accept the following forms of payment:

  • Money Order

If you do not see your insurance plan listed please ask about our participation, as we add insurances periodically.

Insurance

We participate in Medicaid, Medicare, and many other insurance/managed care/HMO plans. Always bring your insurance card(s) for each appointment. Always keep us informed of any changes to your phone number, address or insurance. Covered procedures will vary with each insurance company -- our office staff will assist you in determining eligibility. We currently accept the following insurance plans:

Hospital Privileges


Several procedures, however, can be performed in an office setting under local anesthesia.

Updating Records

It is very important that your doctor have your up-to-date address and phone number. In case of an emergency we must be able to contact you. Please make sure the receptionist is aware of any changes. Also, please make sure we have both work and home phone numbers and another emergency contact number if possible. Cellular phone numbers are especially useful.

Narcotic Prescription Refill Policy

Your postoperative comfort and safety is our number one concern. However, we kindly ask that requests for narcotics refills be made only during normal business hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. If you are getting close to running out of medication and it is getting late in the day or close to the weekend, please take the time to call us for your refill. Under no circumstances will we call in refills after 5 p.m. or on weekends, so plan ahead.
